Alpha Pro guinea pig pellets also contain vitamin C. This is very important for guinea pigs, as they are unable to synthesise their own vitamin C. Deficiencies can cause serious health problems.
In addition, Alpha Pro guinea pig is grain free and has a good balance of calcium and phosphorus to help prevent nutritional deficiencies and kidney problems, contains prebiotics to prevent diarrhoea, keeps the fibre long to promote tooth wear and gets a better intestinal transit thanks to the fact that it contains 25% fibre and 28% timothy hay.

Your guinea pig is unique and its nutritional needs vary depending on its environment, age and activity. Therefore, we recommend starting with the following guidelines, keeping an eye on weight and adjusting portions as necessary. Feed your guinea pig once a day and make sure fresh, clean water is always available.

300 - 450 gr = 35 gr./day
450- 600 gr = 55 gr./day
