Application of general conditions

The General Terms and Conditions as described below apply to every product or service that is offered on the web shop of Happy rabbits and Friends, to all deliveries and during events where we are present. All orders imply acceptance of the sales conditions.

Only the Belgian law applies to the General Terms and Conditions of Happy rabbits.

Happy rabbits has the right to amend or to complete the General Terms and Conditions.

We deliver in Belgium, the Netherlands and most countries in Europe.

In order for the customer to place an order, he/she must be at least 18 years old. If you are not 18 years old, we ask you to have the order placed by your parents or legal guardian. If we notice that an order has been placed by a minor, we can refuse this order.

For every order placed on the web shop of Happy rabbits and Friends, there is a payment obligation.

Articles and prices

Please note that the product image may differ slightly in colour from the original product.

All prices mentioned are per item, including VAT* (6% of 21%) and excluding shipping costs unless otherwise indicated.

ATTENTION: As from 1/7/21 the prices on the website are according to the Belgian VAT 6% and 21% only when you checkout the VAT will be calculated on the country of destination. This is in accordance with the new European legislation from 1/7/21 on which the VAT will be paid to the country of destination.

Price changes and errors reserved.

Agreement for foreign entrepreneurs:

In order to transfer VAT, the entrepreneur must provide a valid proof that they are actually subject to VAT. This proof must be submitted by email ([email protected]). Only with a valid proof, the created invoice can be carried out or a new invoice can be created.

We provide a safe web environment to secure your electronic transfer.

If you place an order with us, you will receive a confirmation by email. We recommend that you keep this email safe.

Your order will be complete and the agreement between us will be final as soon as we receive the approval of the card issuer for your payment transaction with credit or debit card.

Bank transfer: Your order will be shipped as soon as we receive your payment, this one should be made within 3 working days. Otherwise, the order will be cancelled by us.

Payments during one of our events:

If the issuer of your card refuses to agree with your payment to us, we cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery and/or non-delivery of your order. Orders without valid payment in the name of the registered cardholder will not be accepted or processed.

Right of withdrawal

If the articles are not satisfactory after delivery of an order, you must report this within 14 days after delivery via [email protected] with the subject “ return + order number ”.

The return item must be returned in full condition with the original undamaged packaging including all accessories within 14 days after delivery. You can send it to the return address that you will receive from us by email.

The return shipping costs are at the expense of the customer and this is at your own risk.

Also when the customer does not pick up his shipment from the collection point, return costs will be borne by the customer.

As soon as we have received the return item, we will send you a new product or you will receive your payment (excluding shipping costs) within 7 working days.

Unless we notice that the product has been used in such a way that it is no longer in “store condition“, you may get less money back for your item.

Delivery costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically after you have entered your address details. These are always calculated according to your weight (or equivalent volume) and region (country) of residence.

For parcels sent to a collection point, a maximum weight of 20 kg (including packaging material) or equivalent volume applies. If your parcel is too large or too heavy, you cannot select this option.

If you choose home delivery and you are not present at the time of delivery, your parcel will still be sent to a collection point. We therefore ask you to give a drop-off permission via the carrier's app if necessary.

Shipments are usually sent by DPD. However, we may choose another carrier at any time.

Pick-up point. If you choose delivery at the pick-up point, you have 7 days to collect your parcel. From day 8, the parcel is automatically returned if it is not picked up. Return costs are always charged to the customer (they are the same as the shipping costs), as well as the cost of resending.

A refund is never given on shipping costs:

- If your parcel is delayed.

- If your parcel was meant for home delivery but was delivered to a collection point because you were not at home, did not hear the bell, are working in your street, the driver is very busy and chooses a collection point as the best option to still get your parcel delivered as soon as possible, or other such reasons.

- You make your own adjustments in the app, such as changing the address, changing the delivery day and so on,...

- Your address is entered incorrectly and/or your house number is not clearly visible and/or the surname on the name to whom it is sent is not clearly stated on the letterbox/bell.

- You have indicated an automatic parcel machine. And your order could not be delivered to the automat.

We also ask that you always communicate with us smoothly and answer our questions correctly. This only speeds up the process of finding your parcel should it temporarily disappear.

Use of Discount codes/coupons

Discounts never apply to already discounted items or items that are in promotion.

Delivery times and execution

We aim to ship within 1-3 working days on working days.Exceptions to this are indicated with the article. If we can no longer deliver an ordered product, we will refund your money within 7 working days or we will offer you a good alternative.

The delivery times are purely indicative and not binding. They only start after receipt of a fully paid order with all necessary documents and information.

Failure to comply with the delivery period can under no circumstances be considered as a reason to claim any compensation or to cancel the purchase.

In the event of damage or breakage during delivery, this must be reported within 48 hours*. If you notice during the delivery that there is damage, please report this directly to the delivery person so that he/she can make a note of this.

You can report damage via [email protected] with the subject “ damage + order number “.

There should also be accurate photos included in this email.

  1. At least 1 clear photo of the damage
  2. A clear photo of the package, on which you can clearly see the label
  3. The contents of the package with the filling material (if any)

Reports of damage that are sent 48 hours after delivery, will no longer be processed.

If the damage is clear and all conditions are met, we will send you a new product as soon as possible.

You must keep the damaged product together with the packaging + packaging material in which it arrived. This until our carrier comes to collect it from you. This is usually within 3 weeks.

Under no circumstances can damage or breakage give rise to compensation in any form whatsoever.

* Except for damage during delivery of willow branches and/or hay, this must be reported within 4 hours after receipt to [email protected] with a clear photo.

Force majeure

In the event of a force majeure situation, it is possible that we may no longer be able to fulfil our obligations to you. We will inform you as soon as possible about this. If the delivery time takes too long due to force majeure, you can cancel your order. You will receive your payment back within 14 working days.

Force majeure is any circumstance beyond our control and will. This includes strikes, fire, business breakdowns, energy failures, failures in a (telecommunication) network or connection or used communication systems or the unavailability of our website at any time, non-delivery or late delivery by suppliers or other third parties.

Disputes

The District Court in Lier and the courts in Mechelen are exclusively competent for all disputes.

The Belgian law always applies.

Happy rabbits information with products

All explanations that you can find with our products are simply intended as information based on personal experiences, books and the Internet. Under no circumstances should they be regarded as advice or instructions. We cannot be held responsible for the use of our products.

When using our dried products, which include herbs, leaves, flowers, flakes, grasses, vegetables and fruit, you always build up with very small quantities. Each individual is different and it is impossible to predict how he/she will react to it. Be careful to mix different types of herbs just like that.

We do not sell medicines. In case of (doubt of) illness, always contact your vet first!

- Happy rabbits hay with herbs ( being German hay with herbs, German mini bales, Timothy hay): the hay needs to be kept out of the plastic bag immediately after arrival. You can keep it in a cardboard box or an open box. This is the only way to guarantee the quality of the hay. The hay should also be kept out of the light.

- Happy rabbits willow branches, when ordering willow branches you agree with the responsibility to ensure that they are unpacked immediately upon arrival at home or in a delivery point. It is therefore your responsibility that in case of delivery to a delivery point, that you pick up your package the same day. Problems with willow branches are only dealt with when this has been reported within 4 hours after receipt, including a clear photo to [email protected]  

In case of delivering willow branches, we reserve the right to choose whether they are sent with or without leaves = we do this based on the expected weather conditions. We also reserve the right to postpone the shipment of your order with 1 day due to these weather conditions. We also reserve the right to send your order with another carrier who we deem sufficient to deliver the package on time.
