Timothy hay has a high fibre content and is low in protein and calcium.
It may be eaten by rabbits, rodents, herbivores, reptiles and horses.
The fact that Timothy hay is low in calcium makes it ideal for rabbits with bladder and kidney problems.
Due to its coarser long structure, Timothy hay is also very good for rabbits and/or rodents with dental problems. This hay requires longer biting/gnawing for good tooth wear.
